Pecan Pie - No Corn Syrup

Need an easy pecan pie recipe and don't have corn syrup on hand? Try this recipe!

This recipe can easily be made with both pecan halves or pecan pieces, whichever you prefer! We made is with pecan halves, but it would be just as good with pieces. We recommend adding 1.5-2x the amount of pecans if using pieces.

INGREDIENTS

9 inch Pie Pastry
1 cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Granulated Sugar
1 ½ tablespoons Flour
1 Large Egg
1 tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Butter, browned
1 extra full cup Large Halves

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put pie pastry into a pie pan, fork it and sprinkle it with nutmeg.
  2. Brown butter on the stove.
  3. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix with a spatula and pour into the pie crust.
  4. Make a tin foil ring to cover the edges of the pie crust.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees F, for 30 minutes. Take out pie and remove tin foil ring.
  6. Place pie back into the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes. You want the center of the pie to still be jiggly.
  7. Take it out of the oven, let it cool, serve, and enjoy!
