Wild Native Halves

Our Wild Native Pecans have flourished naturally in our region, producing a rich, robust flavor that sets them apart. These smaller yet flavorful halves are ideal for baking, cooking, or snacking, delivering a deep, nutty taste in every bite.

Wild Native Halves have a naturally harder shell, which makes them more difficult to crack compared to paper shell varieties. Because of this, they tend to produce more broken halves during the shelling process than paper shell pecans such as our Kanza Halves. This difference is part of what makes Wild Natives unique and part of why their flavor is so bold.

Unlike orchard-grown varieties such as our Large or Kanza Halves, Wild Native Halves are naturally smaller in size but bolder in flavor, making them a favorite for those who love a more intense pecan taste. Their petite size also makes them a great choice for cookies, candies, and crusts, ensuring a perfect balance of texture and flavor.

Storage recommendations from York Pecan:
For 30–60 day storage, keep refrigerated between use. For storage up to two years, keep in the freezer and use as needed.
